REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

(RFP #2011-19) FULLY-INSURED MEDICAL, DENTAL AND VISION PROGRAMS

The Virginia Port Authority (VPA) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to establish a contract through competitive negotiations for Fully Insured Medical, Dental, Vision and Wellness Programs. Current programs available – medical, dental, vision, employee assistance, on-site health screenings and discounted gym membership. Medical, dental and vision benefits are offered to all active COBRA eligible/retired employees. The benefit plan runs from July 1 to June 30. The initial term of the contract shall be one (1) year, with VPA having options to renew for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods through competitive negotiations. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting shall be held January 21st, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the offices of the Virginia Port Authority, 600 World Trade Center, Norfolk, VA 23510. Late arrivals will be denied entrance to the pre-proposal meeting. Electronic proposals will be accepted until 3:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on February 14, 2011. Proposals and all other correspondence including questions shall be sent electronically to proposals@portovirginia.com.
