Contract Awarded for Risk Manager Health Insurance

RESOLUTION NO. 8-06

WHEREAS, there exists a need for a BROKER FOR RISK MANAGER HEALTH INSURANCE; and  WHEREAS, funds are available for this purpose; and WHEREAS, the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., requires that this Resolution authorizing the award of contracts for "Professional Services" without competitive bids must be publicly advertised; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Voorhees as follows:

*   The Mayor and Township Committee are hereby authorized and directed<br>to execute this agreement with RICHARD HARDENBERGH INSURANCE for a period of one year commencing January 1, 2006 and expiring on December 31, 2006.

* This contract is awarded without competitive bidding as a "Professional Service" under the provision of the Local Public Contracts Law because this contract is to be performed by a person authorized by law to practice a recognized profession and it is not possible to obtain competitive bids.

*   A copy of this resolution shall be published as required by law .
