Insurance Agent Lists

The following states provide electronic agent, agency and company lists free of charge.  See below for details.

  • Ohio Department of Insurance

  • Four lists are available in CSV format.  Agent Resident, Agent Non-Resident, Agency Resident, Agency Non-Resident.  Files are updated nightly.

     

  • Oregon Insurance Division

  • A tab-delimited ASCII file contains a single record for each firm currently licensed by the State of Oregon as an insurance agency, independent insurance adjuster, insurance consultant or life settlement broker. The file is over 1.5 MB in size and contains over 6,000 records.  File is updated weekly.

     

  • Texas Department of Insurance [Agent Lists] [Company Lists]

  • Mulitple data files stored in the zip archive format.  Lists available for Agent and Companies. Files are updated on the 6th of each month.

     

  • Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance

  • One Agent List file.  The Agent by insurance company name file is split into mulitple file.  All files are fixed width text files stored in in self-extracting zip archives.  Files are updated weekly.

     


The following states provide electronic agent, agency and company lists for a fee.  See below for details.

  • California Department of Insurance
  • The California Department of Insurance has various lists of agents, agencies and insurance companies that are available from the Producer Licensing Bureau.  It should be noted that requests will be processed only upon receipt of the completed form and a check for the appropriate amount.

  • Indiana Department of Insurance

  • The Indiana Department of Insurance maintains a database on all insurance agents and insurance companies that have been issued a license, certificate, registration or permit by the state. There are approximately 95,000 records in the database. Through the accessIndiana portal, you can obtain customized information in a list format.


     
       
    • $150 for the first record (information on one (1) producer constitutes a record)

  • Iowa Insurance Division

  • Iowa will provide data in three formats: comma delimited, fixed width, or DbaseIII.  You will need to send in their request form with payment.  You must elect delivery by email or diskette.

  • Kentucky Department of Insurance

  • Kentucky provides data in CSV format.  Request and check must be sent together.

     

  • New Mexico Insurance Division

  • New Mexico will provide data in Excel format or delimited text.  You must submit payment and fill out a PDF request form.  Data can be emailed.

     

  • North Dakota Insurance Department

  • The North Dakota Insurance Department provides various listings and labels. The available formats are MS Excel file, paper printout, or mailing labels.

  • Utah Insurance Department

  • Utah requires that you submit a fax or email with your list requirements.  They will in turn send you a release form and job cost.
